[El Mirage, AZ December 23, 2019] - Come join the City of El Mirage and celebrate Public Safety Day on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Gateway Park from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Gateway Park is located at 10100 N. El Mirage Road in El Mirage.
El Mirage Police and Fire Departments will have displays and demonstrations that include a helicopter, crime scene vans, a crash truck display, and demos and displays of other police, fire, and military equipment.
In addition, the Arizona SciTech Festival will be on site celebrating STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) and there will be displays and exhibits by participating Dysart Unified schools, El Mirage City Departments, and area businesses.
Touch-A-Truck large vehicles will be on site for kids to explore and touch. Other attractions will include toddler and child bouncy houses, inflatables, obstacle courses, games, and other Kid Zone activities. All Kid Zone activities are free.
In addition, there will be a special performance by the internationally known aerial performance artist Kristy Ingebo. Ms. Ingebo has performed her aerial skills around the globe on apparatuses such as the trapeze, lyra, silks, and hammock. She and another aerialist will perform a one hour show. Admission is free.
A wide variety of food trucks and community vendors will provide great food and shopping during the event.
The event is sponsored in part by the El Mirage Police and Fire Departments, APS, Wal-Mart, Coco’s Towing, Roberts Car Care, the Arizona Trucking Association, and RV Sales and Consignment.
Public Safety Day is FREE to the public.
