El Mirage Launches Mask Up Campaign
[El Mirage, AZ June 22, 2020] – In response to the Governor’s June 17, 2020 Executive Order, and the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors June 19, 2020 Proclamation requiring all residents of Maricopa County, including those in incorporated and unincorporated areas, to wear face coverings, the City has launched the, “El Mirage Mask Up,” campaign.
As directed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, face coverings in public spaces are required. State and Federal public health experts are recommending that face coverings — cloth masks that cover the mouth and nose — are effective in limiting the spread of the coronavirus.
To make sure that El Mirage residents are able to observe the recommendation, the City has announced that it is giving away face masks for a limited time. Residents who do not have access to face coverings will be able to pick up a face mask in the City Hall lobby during normal business hours.
