    The City of El Mirage was incorporated on June 25, 1951. In 2026, the City will celebrate its 75th anniversary.

  • Community Action Program (CAP)

    The Community Action Program (CAP) is a partnership between Maricopa County, El Mirage and Surprise that provides support services that foster self-sufficiency and stability during unexpected financial crises by providing limited temporary assistance with utility and eviction prevention for qualifying El Mirage and Surprise residents.

    El Mirage Community Garden provides four-foot and eight-foot plots for residents to grow their own produce for a rental fee of $20 or $40 per year.
